Phoenix Child Care center was established in 1968 as a provider of childcare services
During the past 32 years, Phoenix Child Care centers has been a leader within the childcare industry.  We started as "All Seasons Childcare" in 1968 as a provider of childcare.  Our company has evolved into not only a quality childcare provider service, but also a pre-school program that will enhance the educational development of your child.  Phoenix Child Care has now built and established more than 48 custom childcare centers across the country.

Much of this success is the result of the values and beliefs of Phoenix Child Care centers founder, Paul J. Emch
Paul's first mission statement was to "provide tender loving care and education too" for each child.  Not much has changed over the years.  We all share the goal of making sure that your child knows that he or she is someone special, and needs to be educated and prepared for the challenges in life.

Paul expected every employee to be an ambassador of company principles -- demonstrating love, integrity, generosity, self-discipline and hard work -- simply treating others as we would want to be treated.  The current management team has molded these values into their strategic plans and operating practices. These values, along with a team approach to management, have empowered Phoenix Child Care centers to grow to nearly 200 employees who care for nearly 1,000 children each day.  Paul is no longer with us, but his commitments to quality, education, and safety have been passed down to the third generation of family who oversee the operations.

What We Believe
We believe that every child is a precious, God-given being with basic needs - social, physical, emotional and intellectual.  We will work to instill proper manners and values, honesty and sharing, respect and self worth in your child.  It is our purpose to meet those needs when your child is in our care, by providing a safe and loving environment here at our school.

School Director - Jennifer Hallas

Hello, my name is Jennifer Hallas and I am the director of Valley Child Care & Learning Center. I was born on an Air Force Base in New Mexico and moved to Phoenix with family when I was 6 months old. My family has its roots planted all over the valley, my dad is a retired Phoenix Police officer and my mom is retired from the Deer Valley School District. I am the oldest of three children, my brother is a Tolleson Firefighter and my sister is a mortgage consultant. My two nieces are the light of my life!
I attended Northern Arizona University, majoring in both elementary and special education. I also lived in Vail, Colorado for six years before moving back to Arizona. I found my love of working with children when I was 9 years old working as a “reader” for the kindergarten program. Since then, I have been a camp counselor, worked with a kids’ theatre group, planned and run children’s birthday parties, volunteered with YMCA and Special Olympics and have coached a Valley high school girls’ soccer team since 1997.
I started my VCCLC experience at our location in Arrowhead and continued working there for 8 ½ years. I started as a teacher’s aide in the one year old classroom, and from there became the lead teacher for the 2’s, 3’s and 4’s. I was then promoted to office assistant in 2001 and became assistant director shortly after. I became director of the Cactus location where I am now in November of 2006. In 2005 our center received a nationally recognized accreditation from N.E.C.P.A. Obtaining this accreditation took a lot of hard work from everyone in our company, which makes us all the more proud of it.
I seem to be a bit of the adventurous type, having been a white water rafting guide in Colorado, parachuting, parasailing and traveling to Sweden, Norway Denmark and the Bahamas to play soccer. I’m always up for a good practical joke and I love dancing singing! I think that is why I love working with children so much, as it is an “on your toes” job. Never the same. Go, go, go! Don’t be surprised to see me dancing to “The Bear Necessities” or singing my famous “Donut Song.” The crazier the dance and the sillier the song, seems to always get waves of laughter. I live by the motto “learning through play.” Why look at a picture of apples when we could bring in apples and taste them, paint with them, make apple pie, count them, write a story about them, etc.?
Being part of the Valley family is a honor and a privilege of which I am blessed. I have felt welcomed since day one and try to convey that same feeling to anyone who enters my school. Valley Learning Center’s goal is to see all their employees exceed in all aspects of their lives. I welcome you and your family to come and see our center for yourself and feel the love and care that our staff display. I look forward to meeting you!
